I may not have joined the Harry Potter bandwagon when the first book came out, or the second, or even the third. I saw the movies, but I just wasn't that into it. I was a little kid who didn't want to blend in with the crowd. I took pride in the fact that I was different by not reading Harry Potter.

I started my Harry Potter journey… I don't even know when. But it was way after everyone else did. Does that make me a fake Harry Potter fan? No. I love Harry Potter. Just because I didn't start to read it until later doesn't mean I'm not a true fan. I hate it when people say that. I did grow up with it, just not in the normal way.

So stop saying people are fake fans. They each have their own story on how it affected them. HP has had an great impact on my life, and you can bet your ass I'm gonna be in costume, reminiscing, and sobbing at the midnight premiere tomorrow.
